A really sweet boar!
The Sélection des Vins de Genève wine prizes were awarded Thursday 23 June at the Museum of Art and History, with an enthusiastic audience in attendance that included celebrities from the worlds of gastronomy, politics, sports, tourism and wine.

The Tradition Trophy, a magnificent engraving of an eagles’ nest, is awarded to the winery with the best average for its Chasselas and Gamay wines. It is offered by the Compagnie des Vieux-Grenadiers. Bernard Stress, a member of honour of the society, presented it to Olivier Conne of Domaine des Charmes.
The sculpture of a Kite bird, awarded for the best sparkling wine, was given by Benjamin Gehrig, director of the Vaud Wines Office and a member of Swiss Wine Promotion, to Frédéric Seraldy of Domaine de la Printanière for his “Barjak” brut.
And finally, a new prize: a magnificent engraving of a butterfly that was given by oenology students at the Haute Ecole de Changins, Fiona Stucki and Marc Sawaya, with the school’s director Conrad Briguet, to Bernard Bosseau from Cave de Sézenove for his 2021 Gamay rosé.
Robert Hainard is the internationally renowned artist who created this new prize; he is the artist behind all of the other trophies as well.
